Kale sweet Kale

I’ve been waiting for the Kale season to kick in for a long time now.
In Sweden Kale is popular during the Holidays, that means that EVERY grocery store carries Kale this time of year, and they usually have organic kale too. So It’s an understatement to say that I’m overdosing on Kale these days. I’m basically starting my day with a Kales smoothie and ending it with Kale chips from the dehydrator.

Here is the recipe of my morning smoothie.

3 big leaves of Kale
1 Banana
1 Orange
1 Cup of water
5 mint leaves

Mix everything together in a high speed blender and use some berries as a topping.

Enjoy this delicious green smoothie in the morning and you will fell like you have energy to move mountains.

Self Massage

Beautiful Sister and Brother. Do you ever feel that you get wrapped up in the outer world too much? Do you feel a bit stressed? like you  are rushing through life? Maybe you feel that you are just trying to get from A to B? Thinking too much and feeling too little? You are definitely not alone in feeling this way. This is a common phenomena in our time. We focus more on our outer world than on our inner world. Constant distractions like laptops and phones keep our minds disconnected form our bodies. The sad thing is that a long time exposure to this stress seems to lead to an increasing  sense of fear and a greater lack of self love.

So how do we shift this behavior? How do we stop ourselves form getting lost in in the outer world? My belief is that we must make our inner world more important. Find ways to connect with all of ourselves, mind, body spirit.

I find that a great way to help the restless mind become more present in my body, is to practice self massage. It’s a phenomenal practice that  can calm your nerves and increases your self love and appreciation.
self massageIt’s easy to perform this massage, you simply start by rubbing your fingers on your skalp, work your way down to the ears, face, neck, arms, and hands on each side, chest, back, belly, hips, butt, genitals, thighs, calves and end with a foot rubb. This procedure takes 5- 15 min, depending on how much time you want to spend on every body part.

It might be hard to reach your back, if you want to give your back some extra appreciation, you can lay down on your back and place a tennisboll underneath yourself and roll it upp and down with your body, or you can lean against a door post to apply some pressure to those muscles. As you go through each body part, thank it for it’s service to you, feel it, how does it feel? Try to breath into, and be present in every body part. You can do this practice any time of the day, maybe after you shower and want to rubb in some oil?  There are many beautiful oils out there that will nurture your skin and make you feel luxurious.olive-oil (1),jpg

HERE ARE A FEW TIPS:

Organic Virgin Coconut Oil: The king of oils, you can use it for so many things, cooking, baking, hair care, and as a body lotion. it’s antiseptic and it feels great on your skin.

Organic Virgin Sesame Oil: This one is great to calm the nerves and it will assist you in feeling balanced. This oil has a warming sent and moisturizes the skin beautifully.

Organic Virgin Olive Oil: Makes your skin glow, and is full of vitamins to help heal and nurture your whole body.

Oil or no oil, there are countless ways in which you can perform this massage. The most important thing is that you touch and appreciate your beautiful body. Give yourself this Luxurious treatment everyday, and you will tell your subconscious that you deserve great things, thus increasing your sense of self worth. Our body’s wellbeing and our mental wellbeing really do go hand in hand.

Healing fear

I’m becoming increasingly aware of my fear of failure and its mean posse. I guess I have always seen and heard that little voice, but I haven’t paid much attention to how it really affects my whole life. I consider myself to be a fairly happy person, I have worked hard on transforming different pains, behavioral patterns and traumas that I had been carriying around since I was a child, and I have succeeded in ridding myself of many of them. Yes, I have made great progress in renovating and restoring many areas of what I call my Lalaland, my inner Queendom, and I definitely believe in celebrating that, but the fact remains that when it comes to some areas like finances and physical well being, I have not yet succeeded to fully thrive.

I still carry this paralyzing fear inside me, and it blossoms when I face something outside of my comfort zone? When I meet the lesser loved parts of myself. It can manifest when I have a great idea that I know will benefit the greater good, and I’m ready to send out a proposal to someone, but it includes me making money from it. Suddenly doubt is there, saying stuff like,- Is it really a good idea?  What if they reject it? Does this really benefit the greater good?

I get paralyzed and the result is that I tend to postpone everything. This toxic fear can also manifest when I’m walking around in a bikini, or wearing a tight top or skirt, I can feel that paralyzing self hatred clinging to my thighs, the part of my body I have had the most trouble loving.

As all you beautiful coaches and healers out there probably know, this fear has to do with the lack of self love and self worth, a foundation that you mainly establish between the age of 0-6 years old.

As I watch my son sleep this morning, I ask myself what kind of role model am I to him? I know that I say loving words to him, and encourage him, but do I provide an example for him to follow? My parents are/were self sacrificing spirits with much love for humanity and less for them selves, and that has affected my life profoundly in many ways. So know I’m facing a choice, a choice to teach my son how to go out there and live his dreams, how to transform fear into courage, and lack of self love into unconditional love… or I could teach him to play it safe, by hiding in my cave and letting life pass me by. The choice sounds easy in broad daylight huh? But when you are infected by fear and feel paralyzed, it doesn’t always feel that easy. What I can do is formulate a wish and shoot a rocket of desire.

So here I go..

I want to be able to provide a comfortable life for my son and myself, and I want to love every cell of my body and give it the greatest care and love possible, and allow the world to do so as well .

Feels good to say it out loud and allow myself to fully feel it. I always say awareness is the first step towards transformation, but action is the important second one. I have observed my patterns and I know my triggers, so know the last important step is to make my move.

Problem: When it comes to finances, I know that it’s is mainly the fear of rejection that is stopping me form taking action.

Suggestion: If I was to send out one proposal every other day to different companies and people, not caring if the reject it or not, eventually someone would want to co-create with me, and I would benefit financially form it.

Problem: When It comes to my health and body it is rooted in feeling rejected. I have never felt good enough, and these emotions are stored inside my body and manifest themselves as hormonal imbalances that create weight problems and different pains.

Suggestion: I have been so lost on this one,  and so have the doctors I have visited, I eat well and exercise. I’m starting to think that the solution to all of this might not be to transform my body, but to learn to fully love it as it is and allow others to do that as well. I want to establish a routine to dedicate 10 min a day to touching or brushing my body and saying loving things to it. I also believe it’s important for me to surround myself with healers and coaches to help me on my journey. It ‘s time for the healer to be healed.

Turmeric, Nature’s Yellow Gold

My healing process has been long and slow at times. But I really do feel that I’m getting closer to the finish line… Especially since I started drinking smoothies and juices with turmeric.  It makes all my cells radiate and vibrate. Research shows that Turmeric is effective at treating depression, and it may even be more effective than some of the most common anti-depressant drugs currently on the market. Curcumin, a derivative of turmeric, is also known to battle cancer and inflammations. bild 3
I wanted to create a smoothie that was super healthy and still delicious. So I decided to combine turmeric with the Sea buckthorn berry.

Recipe:

1 cup of filtered water

1-2 banana (depending on how much sweetness you like, I take 2)

1 cup of Sea buckthorn berries

1 inch of fresh turmeric

Mix everything together in a high speed blender and let the healing begin.

Healing and Juicing

I have had many health concerns in my life, many of them disappeared when I started to eat Vegan foods, but some, like the warm sensation in my stomach and aches in my joints have stayed with me. I eat a lot of Raw Foods and I have noticed that it helps my overall wellbeing. So, I tried to step it up a notch, and juice for 3 days to see what happens. I have done smoothie fasts many times before, but juicing is different. Juices are free from fibers, but full of vitamins, and they are easily absorbed by the body. They don’t stress the intestines and let your colon take a vacation.

Lucky me, I have a Green Star Juicer, a wonderful juicer that can juice EVERYTHING, so I threw in spinach pears and even Kiwis I’m my daily juices. I drank 3-4 Life Factory Bottles a day for 3 days and after the first day I noticed how much more energy I had. On the second day I noticed that the warm sensation in my belly was gone, and on the third day I noticed that my joints didn’t aches anymore. All this in only 3 days!!
I am convinced that this is habit that I need to implement on a regular basis in my life.
Maybe I should juice 1 day every week? or 3 days every month? I do know one thing, I will juice so help me god!

Your Stomach is not a trash can.

Most health problems are caused by our way of living. How we eat, how we move, where we live and how we feel emotionally, are all factors that determine our health condition. Even if this might be common knowledge, most people in our society treat their stomach like a trash can. How come? Well, I can only speak for myself, but I believe it’s due to a disconnection between body and mind. This discord is usually created over a longer period of time. Somewhere along this ride that we call life, we picked up a bad eating habit. Maybe we picked it up from our surroundings, or from a TV show, or maybe some of us got it from home? Somehow we lost contact with our bodies. But, the beauty about being human is that IT’S NEVER TOO LATE TO CHANGE! There are many things that you can do today to restore your connection to your body. Here are 5 simple steps.

1. Start writing down what you eat every day. This will help you focus on what you put in your mouth, and in the long run help you change your patterns.

2. Try exchanging one meal a day for a big Raw Food Smoothie. Most people feel GREAT after eating a meal full of nutrients and energy, so this will help your brain to get a new reference point of how you can feel. With time you will start to crave healthier foods, because your body and mind will remember how good it felt after your “Lunch, Breakfast or Dinner” smoothie.

3. Create a weekly meal plan. This will help you to gain control over what you eat. it’s easy to treat your stomach like a trash can when you’re stressed out and don’t have time to think about what’s good for you. This way you know what you will eat every morning when you wake up.

4. Drink plenty of water. Most of us drink way too little water, here is a link to a test on how much you should drink. Did you know that drinking too little causes a great strain on our bodies, and sets us into survival mode? When you drink more water your mind becomes clearer and it’s easier to make healthy decisions.

5. Be Kind to your body. Every night before you go to sleep, thank your body for serving and carrying you through this day, and through this life. Every Morning when you wake up, ask your body what you can do to be kind to it today. Some of you might not hear a clear answer straight away, but give it some time and you will notice that you do make healthier choices and that your body is cooperating with you better.

Spring cleaning

I was hanging out with some lovely friends and acquaintances yesterday. After this meeting, I realized that I truly don’t have the space in my life for people that don’t mean me well. Don’t get me wrong, I truly appreciate mirroring myself in everybody, but now that I’m a mother my family comes first, then I have my other baby, my life’s work, my art…and the little time I have left I want to share with true friends who inspire me and whom I love and support. So I finally got around to doing that spring cleaning that I have been longing to do for so long. I deleted a bunch of phone numbers, removed “friends” on social media and most importantly made a sacred promise to myself, to surround myself with people that share my joy.
